Privacy, short and honest.

We collect as little as possible. No tracking, no advertising cookies, no selling of data. Below is exactly what happens when you use this site.

01Who we are

Vyrtex, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under 97149128 (VAT NL005250387B43), based in Houten, the Netherlands. We are responsible for the data that comes in through vyrtex.dev.

02Just browsing

We don't use analytics or tracking or marketing cookies. There is one functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers whether you view the site in English or Dutch.

As with any website, our server and Cloudflare (which keeps the site fast and secure) process technical data such as your IP address and browser. This is needed to show the page and prevent abuse, and is not used to track you.

03When you get in touch

Through the contact form we receive your name, email address, your message and (if you fill them in) your company and budget. They arrive as an email through our own mail server. We only use them to answer your question and, if relevant, send a proposal.

If you email or WhatsApp us directly, we use your message and contact details the same way. For WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms also apply.

04When you book a call

When you book a call we receive your name, email address, the time you picked and (if you fill them in) your phone number, company and a note. These are stored in our own client portal (portal.vyrtex.dev) so we can prepare and confirm the call.

05When you run the free site scan

For the scan you enter a website address. To measure its speed we send only that URL to Google PageSpeed Insights. If you want the full report by email, we ask for your email address and your consent via the checkbox. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

06How long we keep data

No longer than needed:

  • Contact requests and booked calls: until your question is handled. If you don't become a client, we delete them no later than 12 months after our last contact.
  • Scan requests: no longer than 12 months, or sooner if you withdraw your consent.
  • If you become a client, we keep what the project and our bookkeeping need, for as long as the law requires (7 years for bookkeeping).

07Who we share data with

We don't sell anything and only share what's needed. Hosting, email and our client portal run on our own servers (ChargeHosting, a trade name of Vyrtex) in a BIT data centre in Ede, the Netherlands.

  • Cloudflare: network and security for the site. Cloudflare is a US company; transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Google: only the URL you enter in the site scan, for the PageSpeed measurement.

08Your rights

You can always ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or handed over. You can object to its use and withdraw your consent. Email stefan@vyrtex.dev and we'll respond within a month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

09Security

The site always runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Forms only ask for what's needed and are protected against spam and abuse.
